Bodywork Massage Therapy

Hands on therapeutic bodywork from licensed professional massage therapists.

Massage stimulates the blood flow through the body to the brain. It releases toxins that permeate throughout the body causing aches and pains while stretching and relaxing the muscle fibers that will release the toxins as well as the tension and pain. Massage therapy has been known to help with the following: Arthritis Pain Emotional Balance, Relaxation, Scar tissue break up (useful after surgery or during muscular rehab), Improve Digestion & Mobility, Relief of Muscular Discomfort, Detoxification, Increase Energy, Improve Circulation & Sleep Patterns, Stress Reduction and Increased Productivity. Many of the physical discomforts we experience are due to muscle soreness/weakness and limited range of motion. At Seraphim Wellness, we offer a number of massage modalities that can help mitigate these discomforts and restore wellbeing not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. These include but are not limited to Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy (or NMT), Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Pre/Post Natal Massage and Sports Massage.

Myofascial Release – for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and activating lymphatic circulation.

Trigger Point Therapy  – Releases points (known as trigger or tender points) in the body that cause discomfort and helps restore balance to your nervous system. 

Swedish – Recommended for relaxation and anxiety. Specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. 

Deep Tissue – Designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue. It can break the cycle of chronic muscle discomfort.  Promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries.

Reflexology – The application of pressure to certain points on the feet that correspond to different body organs and systems, providing a beneficial effect on the identified treatment areas and one’s overall health.

Pre/Post Natal Massage – Reduces anxiety for both mother and baby. It can decrease depression and can relieve muscle and joint pain.

TMJ Massage Therapy – TMJ, or Temporomandibular Joint, massage therapy provides relief from applying pressure in a constant, circular motion against joints and muscles most affected by TMJ pain.
